The Ridgewood Cycle Assn's annual benefit run for the Manteno Veterans Home. Sign-up starts at 10am at Ryan's Pub, Rt.30 just west of Harlem in Frankfort with bikes rolling at 11am rain or shine. It's $10 per bike, $15 with passenger.
May 2
The 20th (and final) Sheriff's F.O.P. Lodge #94 "Run fior the Vest". Sign-up starts at 10am at Budzzz, 1827 E. Washington Street (just east of Briggs) in Joliet and bikes roll at 11:30. There'll be awards for best & oldest bike, live music, & a raffle for a 2010 Harley of your choice.
May 8th The annual Peotone Spring Motorcycle Swap Meet & Parts Expo is going down at the Will County Fairgrounds in Peotone. May 8th
The A.M.V.R.A. Chapter 11 is holding a fundraiser for one of their members. Dan Kampwirth was diagnosed with stage 4 mouth cancer. The event is at the Stone City V.F.W,. Post 2199, Rt. 53 & Laraway Rd in Joliet from 4pm-10pm. It's $15 at the door for food, raffles, & live music.
May 15th
The 4th annual "Let's Roll for MOM's" poker run in honor of & for our troops on Armed Forces Day. The run starts & ends at the Wilmington V.F.W., 3rd & Baltimore in Wilmington with sign-up beginning at 9:30 and bikes rolling at 11am. It's $10 per person with a pig roast & live music from Faded Ink at the end. Sign-up starts at 10a, bikes roll at Noon, & it's $10 per person with all proceeds going to the Lamb's Fold women's shelter in Joliet. The Sugar Run returns. Line up is at the Harwood Legion Post, I-80 & Larkin at 9:30 with bikes rolling at 11am. The Poker run is $15 per bike, $5 per additional hand for passenger with all proceeds benefitting the Silver Cross Diabetes Center.
