Kristi Blake “About me”
Well I was born at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois on October 24, 1983. I went to grade school at Pats and St. Therese's in Kankakee. I went to junior high and high school at Donovan. Where I was a foot ball cheerleader my freshmen and sophomore year and served on out dance team all four years of high school. My senior I served as captain of the squad. I also took dance classes at the dance studio in Watseka as well. Starting my junior year of high school I began taking cosmetology classes at the Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) School of Cosmetology. The summer after my senior year in high school I graduated and became a licensed cosmetologist. After graduating from the Career Center I began working at Mastercuts where I worked for three years. I also traveled for them and helped do grand openings to open other stores. I started classes at KCC, Kankakee Community College, when i finished beauty school as well. I earned an associates degree in business management and marketing. In October of 2004 I left Mastercuts and went to a salon where I rent my station and work for myself independently within the salon. I have also been bar tending for three years. I currently work at the City Tavern.
I consider myself very lucky because I love both my jobs. Not everyone gets to enjoy going to work every day! I have also been blessed with a wonderful family that is very supportive and extremely close with great values. And then to top it off I have a lot of really great friends! All of which are special to me in a million ways. So on my free time I hang out with my friends or family. Usually when its time with my friends we go out and drink a little and usually end up getting kind of crazy. Because I LOVE to have FUN!!!=)
